(Updated) 2 Dead, 2 Injured In High-Speed Rollover Crash In Boston, 4 Teens ID'd: Police

Update (Friday, Jan. 5): A second teen who died in a rollover crash in Boston on Morrissey Boulevard on Thursday morning, Jan. 4, has been identified as a 15-year-old male from Mattapan, state police said.

A passenger who was rushed to the hospital in grave condition has been identified by authorities as a 17-year-old male from Roslindale.

Their names are not being released because they are ages 17 and younger, according to state police, which is continuing its investigation into the crash.

Update (Thursday, Jan. 4): One passenger of the Hyundai who died in a rollover crash in Boston on Morrissey Boulevard on Thursday morning, Jan. 4, has been identified as a 14-year-old male from Dorchester, state police said.

A second male teen also died, but his age and city of residence haven't been released as of Thursday afternoon until identification is confirmed.

A third male teen has not been identified, and he is at a local hospital in grave condition, according to authorities.

A fourth 15-year-old male from Dorchester is expected to survive at a Boston hospital.

The Hyundai they were traveling in was reported stolen out of Jamaica Plain, police said.

A gun was found in the crashed car, which has been towed.

State police will continue investigating the crash.

Original: Two people died, and two others were injured in a single-car rollover crash on Morrissey Boulevard in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. 

The crash happened on the northbound side shortly after 3 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, near UMass-Boston, according to state police.

There were four men inside the 2013 Hyundai Accent at the time of the crash — three are believed to be teens. Police say they traveling at a high speed.

One person died at the scene, while the three others were rushed to Boston hospitals, where one died from their injuries.

One of the passengers is in grave condition, while a fourth is suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

No further details about the crash were immediately available, but state police are investigating. 

Morrissey Boulevard was partially closed Thursday morning before it was reopened around 7:30 a.m.
